Beyond the Multiplex carried out 200 semi-structured interviews with film audience members in four English regions (North East, North West, South West, and Yorkshire and The Humber) in 2017-18.
The interviews explore people’s personal film journey and the role film watching plays in their lives, including their relationship with film taste, venues, digital platforms, and the meanings they take away from watching different types of film.
